My Postpartum Must-Haves

So, big news! We welcomed our first baby earlier this month. It’s been an odd combo of an adjustment and completely natural. It’s like he’s always been here!

Throughout my pregnancy, I focused on all the things baby would need like diapers, the perfect swaddle blanket (it’s this one btw), and plenty of outfits for all those changes! When it came to what I would need for after delivery, I was in a place of being over prepared and having no idea what I would need. With a few weeks under my belt, I’ve rounded up the items I use the most and what I wouldn’t want too far!

Frida Mom Upside Down Peri Bottle

This one gets a ton of hype and let me tell you, it is all 100% valid. While you’ll get a peri bottle at the hospital, it does the job, but gives off ketchup bottle vibes. Snag Frida Mom’s version. You won’t be disappointed.

Frida Mom Instant Ice Maxi Pads

Another chef’s kiss from Frida Mom. These are LIFESAVERS. The hospital will provide you with their ice maxi pads (these are phenomenal), but if you’re like me, you’ll want some at home, too.

Nursing Camis

I purchased and returned SO many nursing bras. I’m one of those people that constantly feels squeezed and trapped in bras, so I was ordering two sizes up. Let me tell ya, not as beneficial and comfortable as you’d hope. This is where the nursing cami comes in. These are much more comfortable in my opinion and offer more flexibility. Wear as a shirt, undershirt, or for sleeping (great for nighttime feedings). They come with and without padding. I loved the ones from Auden.

Kindred Bravely High Waist Postpartum Underwear & C-Section Recovery

Embrace the high-waisted, full coverage undies. These are crazy soft and comfortable. They don’t need much of a description, but no matter how you give birth, these would be excellent. I grabbed a 5-pack and they’re 10/10.

Motherlove Nipple Cream

If you’re breastfeeding, this is a must. It’s also helpful if you’re pumping. This is a definite must-have.

While there are a handful of others like a light robe and button down jams, these are the ones not to be missed! Interested in my must-haves for baby? A few weeks in and I have A LOT of opinions. Especially when it comes to footie pjs.
